The photo above is the original Windecker YE-5. It was built for the military for stealth technology testing. On loan from the Fort Rucker Military Museum, the military markings were removed as part of a promotional project Jerry Dietrick arranged which later led to the loss of the aircraft by a military pilot. This was a tremendous loss as the YE-5 was a low-time original Windecker in pristine condition. Jerry had to replace the lost YE-5 with N4196G. Shown here is Will Berninger removing some of the markings around 1982.
